The Ken Marley 7 piece jazz ensemble was formed in 2004.
The members are:
- Al Wood - alto/baritone sax
- Lewis Watson - tenor/soprano sax
- Andrew Colman - trumpet
- Nick Mills - trombone
- Ken Marley - double bass
- Richard Wetherall - piano
- John Perry - drums
Times Up is a major new work for the ensemble written and composed by Ken Marley and Canadian composer John Warren. It is a large scale work in two halves, each lasting 50 to 60 minutes and incorporating newly composed music alongside improvised soloing sections.
The Ken Marley 7 piece jazz ensemble are members of 'The Musicians in Residence Scheme' supported by funding from 'Arts Council England'. Funding for the performance of Times Up is available from 'The Musicians in Residence Scheme' via their website www.musiciansinresidence.org
